The Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens (NVRG) is an entertainment destination at Watson Ranch that will include a hotel, amphitheaters, distillery, brewery/pub, winery, associated tasting facilities, and food venues among the site’s unique ruins. Residents and visitors alike can enjoy art, food, music, spirits and wine surrounded by stunning architectural structures.

Watson Ranch has approximately 40 acres of on-site public parks and open space areas. The River to Ridge Trail is currently a pedestrian trail that extends through Newell Open Space (which contains 640 acres) thus completing the east/west connection through American Canyon. The Napa Valley Vine Trail runs from St. Helena to the Watson Ranch southern boundary at Vintage Ranch, extending the north/south connection for 1.42 miles. This extensive addition of outdoor paths and trails allows residents and visitors to enjoy the beautiful outdoor experience that Napa has to offer.

The Newell Open Space (640 acres) and Jaeger Open Space (320+ acres) are miles of rolling golden hills are flanked by seemingly endless rows of vineyards, and the entire area is teeming with active wildlife. Over 10 miles of newly hand-crafted trails offer mountain bikers and hikers alike, a welcome escape to enjoy this land as nature intended with unobstructed views of the San Francisco Bay.

Golf Digest awarded Hiddenbrooke Golf Course with the prestigious four-and-a-half out of five-star rating. The 2010 Golf World Readers' Choice Awards also recognized Hiddenbrooke as the No. 9 Best Public Golf Course in the United States. MPI owns Hiddenbrooke Golf Course, which is only a 5-minute drive from the Napa Valley Ruins & Gardens. The MPI team is currently envisioning the future of the course, which will likely entail a state-of-the-art practice facility and more sustainable solutions to course water usage. Hiddenbrooke is the only course in the San Francisco Bay Area that made the Top 50 list and the Readers' Choice Awards ranked Hiddenbrooke No. 4 in service, No. 5 in overall value, and No. 10 in reputation/prestige.

Watson Ranch landscaping focuses on drought-tolerant, native vegetation reflective of the region. Additionally, the community has allocated acres upon acres for open space and parks maintaining the natural character of the land while protecting natural ecosystems. The onsite quarry lake is used as a storm water detention/retention basin. Farm to Table restaurants and food service reflect regenerative farming practices. Watson also has large-scale onsite composting ensuring NVRG has a closed loop system.
